Located on Boston's North Shore, the agency was founded in 1988 by Joel Hamlin. Beacon Insurance serves clients mainly in the surrounding cities and towns of Essex and Middlesex counties including Beverly, Danvers, Hamilton, Lynn, Lynnfield, Marblehead, Middleton, Nahant, Peabody, Reading, Revere, Salem, Saugus, Swampscott, Wakefield and Wenham.

About Us
Joel Hamlin
President
Joel has over 20 years of insurance experience. Prior to founding his own agency in 1988, Joel was a financial planner. Prior to his insurance experience, he was a math and science teacher in the Lynn Public School System.
Joel has a BS in Math and Science and an M. Ed. in Educational Research Technology from Northeastern University.
Joel lives in Marblehead, MA, with his wife Nancy, a consultant who works with corporations on diversity and gender issues.
Jordan Hegedus, CLU, ChFC
Vice President
Jordan has over 30 years of diversified business experience. He has been a Beacon Principal for over a decade. Prior to his insurance experience, Jordan was a Vice President in banking and investments.
Jordan has an MBA in Finance from Boston College and a BSBA from Georgetown University. He also has CLU and ChFC degrees from the American College and is a member of the Society of Financial Service Professionals.
Jordan resides in Lynnfield, MA with his wife Beverly, who is a Psychologist in the Lynnfield School System.
